My name is Jeffrey Brown and I am running to be the next Sheriff of Saratoga County.
I am asking for your vote this November to build on the respected legacy of Sheriff Zurlo and to advance the safety, trust, and strength of our Saratoga community.
Saratoga County, born & raised.
I am a lifelong Saratoga County resident, growing up in Malta, N.Y., and graduating from Shenendehowa High School.​
I currently live in Clifton Park with my wife, Molly, and our two children. Molly is a third-grade teacher, and our two children are active in local Saratoga County sports and school clubs.
Public Service
After graduating Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, I pursued what was the beginning of a lifelong and successful career at the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Over my two decades in uniform, I worked out of the Corinth, Malta, Clifton Park and Halfmoon Stations and was a proactive Deputy, protecting our streets, making arrests and answering calls for service. I've served in nearly all positions throughout the Chain of Command, promoting from Deputy to Investigator, Lieutenant, Captain, and now, Undersheriff.

I know I am the most qualified person to hold this vitally important position for our County and Community. My character is solid, my career is unblemished, and I know what it takes to be a strong and unwavering Saratoga County Sheriff.

Proven Leader
I have over 26 years of experience working at the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. As Sheriff Zurlo's, Undersheriff, I am responsible for all five divisions within the Sheriff’s Office, +300 employees, and a $46 million budget.

Throughout my career, I have lead operations in wiretap investigations, homicides, missing persons, school threats, burglary sprees, and was also in charge of the hiring and background process for the Sheriff’s Office. As a Lieutenant, I significantly increased the training Investigators received and started our program to assign Investigators to Federal task forces.

As critical member of the NYS Sheriff’s Association, I have built a great relationship with Sheriffs throughout New York and in surrounding Saratoga counties, and furthered my Law Enforcement knowledge by recently earning my FBI National Academy Associates Leadership Certification.
